Best Free Steam Games Right Now?

Main Post:

I recently made the switch to PC after being a console player my whole life, and I'm looking for some free Steam game recommendations. Some of my favourites have been Elden Ring, Zelda, and MW2, but I'm looking to try something new.

I'd love to get involved with a new game that has an engaging (and hopefully friendly) community that I can join, but am also looking for single-player game recommendations. What are some of your favourite free games that you've played recently?

Top Comment: For free games, not much beats Warframe. The FF14 trial can give people like 200 hours of gameplay free (if you're into MMOs)

Worth it for Free Games?

Main Post:

Ever since it's conception I've avoided Epic Games Store like the plague. I honestly know nothing about it but while searching I found this sub (lmao).

I'm in a Discord Server where anytime a free game is listed, usually via promotion, a message is sent out. 90% of the time it's EpicGames and I ignore it and only grab the Steam ones.

Well occasionally, like today, it's a game I'd actually enjoy.

Is it worth making an account just to take advantage of some free games? What even is Epic, is it Steam again? Will I have bullshit running in the background?

Thanks for any insight.

Top Comment: The only free game i tried to play didn't work, and I went and got it on Steam for 80% off, and it worked just fine. Then EPIC started bombarding my windows message tray with fortnite ads. YMMV but I don't like Epic.

All 476 free games from EGS collapsed into one big image

Main Post:

I don't know if there is one similar to this one, just wanted to share it here. This excludes free ones, gift packs etc. Also not in chronological order.

Also 1 game was removed for better arrangement purposes, but it's giveaway condition was also different than any other game in here. Would be surprised if someone found which game is missing :)

Btw, sry for the quality, I had to compress to fit into 20MB limit

Top Comment: Damn when did they give away the Arkham trilogy!

Free game recommendations?

Main Post:

Hey y’all, for the past few years I’ve been playing a lot of multiplayer games (specifically FPS and some others) but am looking for some games to play on PC.

I’ve been playing on Console pretty much my entire life, but I have been dabbling in PC for the past few months. I’ve only gotten 2 games so far, neither of which are free and only really enjoyed one of them (that being Minecraft).

I’m looking for a preferably free game, that isn’t too heavy on my laptop and has a non-toxic fanbase (for the most part).

If anybody has any tips or games for me to try, please put them below!

Top Comment: Legends of runeterra(Path of champions) is Really fun and free. Its a card online card game but in the path of champions mode the main mode now a days is kind of like slay the spire and really fun. Fortnite. Do I need to explain this one? A game I've never gotten into but have heard is pretty good is Rocket League. If your ok spending a little bit of money I can recomened Slay the spire or Balatro when they go on sale they are under $10. I haven't gotten into this one much either but you can sometimes get undertale for like $2-3 or some where in there. Also all of these are pretty easy on your computer fortnite is probably the heaviest. I can't really say for sure tho I have a pretty beefy pc
